Back in good old New York, New York,
home of Albuquerque sleep lights. Keyboard's a little too dark, but I
will manage.
The dreams I kept having while asleep upon the makeshift mattress in -----'s room: merging of two opposites; dissonance in harmonization; gravity, a necessary Zusammenschmelzen. How I awoke so well-rested after those episodes makes me wonder. Was it healing discomfort?
I am now perched in the rear of the 11th St. bar, having been guided here by the eight-ball's "yes, definitely." Actually I felt far too tired to go out tonight, though the club closed just after 1 AM. I have adopted the diurnal habits I kept during the week in Stuttgart - up at around nine. I suppose that I have every right to be a little tired at this hour. I always have so much to do..... this afternoon I met I to have a look at his apartment for rent - $800/mo warm for a 1-bedroom on 1st Ave. and X St., 6th floor walk-up, have to vacate the premises for the month of June and perhaps a week or two in July when I comes to live in New York each year. For me it's just not cozy enough - hate the color it's painted and something about it overall disturbs my aesthetic sensibilities, but I thought it would probably be just the thing for N, if not a bit too expensive. After that, I played in a $25 game at the club, being the winner all throughout until A blundered heavily and got us all gammoned on the 4-level, leaving me the loser of 3x. The arguing and fighting and none too friendly tone forced me to circle out ere all go out of control.
I walked home (having walked to I's earlier by way of Roosevelt island), showered, attended to my personal business in cyberspace, meditated, arranged for laundry pickup, telephoned with ----- re Palms.... Priceslime.con got me 120 minutes to Germany for just over $9.
I am very tired. I have eaten
unprecedented amounts of cheese since returning home, most of which I bought in
Charles de Gaulle airport. I am somewhat surprised to see that my weight
remained stable at 182 lbs. over the course of the trip.
