We walked from my apartment (roughly) down Broadway to the East River and strolled through Socrates Sculpture Park.  Then down along the river, past the switching grounds to the footbridge to Roosevelt.  Long wait in line at the nearly empty supermarket to pay for our duck liver pâté, everything pumpernickel flatbread and -----'s one tiny little Charleston Chew.  We ate on a park bench by the banks of the East River, then continued along to the tram.  In Manhattan, we stopped to browse in two Japanese food-related stores.

I drove the car home.  I had packed my cell phone charger, Knuth, and some other sundry items.  Cayuga felt unusually skinny.  Daisy lets me pet her now.  We rented two videos in Pelham: Kundun and something else, -----'s pick, with Al Pacino.  We slept after watching Kundun.  ----- had some sort of religious self experience during that.  She now feels like she should phase out work and spend more time living.  Bravo.

We had a nice brunch today with goat cheese & rosemary & black olive tostadas, Friexenet demi-sec and dipped strawberries.  ----- continues considering how to re-gestalt her life.  Her mind is busy with this.  Our lives are merging.  Her long-term plans are increasingly including me, as mine are her.

I continue to feel like all I want to do is study, but I allow for sufficient diversion in the form of food, drink, walks and conversation.  I feel the absence of dread at having to go to work in a few hours, as has been my schedule up until now.  Day two.  Amazing.
Oops, sorry.  Today is day three.
