This is my phone.  There are many others like it, but this one is mine.  It is essentially an extension of my body and my mind.  I use it to call and talk with people.  Or they can call me.  My phone is always on.

I also use it to send and retrieve data.  I can connect it to my computer instead of a land line.  Or I can view data as text on the display of the phone itself.

This phone connects to the rest of the world through electromagnetic radiation, somewhere in the spectrum shared by radio waves and microwaves.  It can be used most anywhere there is a lot of human activity, like in big cities.  It is powered by a tiny, lightweight battery and is itself quite light and small.  It is easy to take this phone with me wherever I go.  I live in a big city.

This is my fourth digital wireless telephone.  The technology it uses is very sophisticated, even in comparison to the others.  It's smaller and handier and weighs much less as I've already mentioned.  It requires recharging less than half as often.  It is much easier to understand what the person you're talking to is saying, even when it's noisy where you are.  It also handles calls much better in areas where the station signal is very weak.

It is sufficiently advanced technology.
