Oh boy.... something happened,
something wonderful. -----. I mean, we met yesterday afternoon. At
the cube, Cooper Sq. I still had no idea what she looked like. God,
she's beautiful. Radiant. Happy. Wonderful. Sexy.
Mmmmm. We walked around, she saw Tompkins Sq. and neighborhood for the
first time, we had dinner at Blue Velvet 1929 (Vietnamese), very nice, and
talked and looked deeply into each other's eyes. It was there. It
was happening. It was a little scary but worderfultastic. I could
very easily fall completely in love with this woman, I think. Anyway
during and after dinner we talked a lot and at one point I held out my hand;
hers dropped into it immediately - she has beautiful hands, perfect skin - and
we played and I could feel the bilateral attraction strong as a million fridge
magnets. Outside the restaurant, two doors down, in the middle of the
sidewalk, we embraced and kissed passionately and long, just like in some
movie, with the passersby silently tolerating our display; only the scruffy
little dog barked when her hat fell to the ground. I'm still sort of in
shock. We sat in Tompkins Sq. for a while, talking less but communicating
physically.... she had to go around midnight to work the next day, so about
11:30 we walked toward her car, which was parked at 3rd St. + 1st Av. She
had been humming a tune from the Indigo Girls (which turned out to be their
version of N.Young's Down By the River.) all night, even as we kissed,
and wanted to play it for me. So there we sat in her car, parked on the
street, listening to various fragments of the Indigo Girls, holding hands,
grooving to it.
Now she'll be on her way over
shortly to pick me up and drive together to Coney Island and whatever other
beaches we might go to..... she just called, she's on her way... gotta go.....
