Many thoughts went through my head yeasterday (first day of new order) - foremost, The Collective: a group of autonomous artists/scientists/spiritualists in search of God/great software/extremely cool art, working on their own or in spontaneously formed groups.  Kind of like Bellcore in someone's garage.  Income of the group is split equally between all participating members.  You join the group by being asked to join; the group thinks you are extremely cool and wants a piece of your action.  Some members may never do anything "productive"; some will probably produce tons.  You have only one responsibility within the group: pursue your interests, learn, develop.  We are here to accelerate evolution.

Last night we went out to dinner with a cross-generational friend of -----'s, a very eccentric (some would say not quite sane) social worker.  A fascinating amalgamation of order and chaos.  Szechuan wontons, salt duck, tea-smoked duck, fluffy chicken (Rochester Country Sweet recipe) and whole fish with pine nuts.  As usual, excellent all the way around.  I ate too much rice (carbs) and got a little cranky.  Felt like I didn't get enough studying done.
